Procedure For Obtaining Financial Aid
- Patients needing assistance may approach KMECT with Detailed one page coherent case summary from Patient's main attending doctor along with the copies of investigations, treatment and prognosis.
- Patient Data Form / Patient Enrolment Form is to be down loaded from the site & filled up & submit.
- The application is scrutinized; the authenticity of the appeal is verified.
- If desired by the KMECT team, the review by our panel of Doctors is obtained.
- Then application is processed for funding.
- The funds are released direct to hospital chemist or service provider. where the patient is under treatment.
- The patients are provided assistance only for the Government / Charitable Hospitals or the hospitals where the Doctors on Panel provide subsidy. In exceptional cases the expensive hospitals can be considered, if the treatment is not available in govt hospitals or the Donors agree to fund the specific Patient in such hospital.
- KMECT does not fund the Buying / Selling of any human organ, which is un-lawful.
- The release of funds is always subject to the availability of the funds & the number of patients being served at any given point of time. The funding & its quantum is the sole discretion of the trust
Procedure For Obtaining Referral Services
Those patients who would like to know the right doctor/hospital for the treatment or would like to have second opinion, can also benefit by getting free referral services from the trust. The procedure is as follows:
Note:All the team members/trustees/advisers/doctors on panel are working on honorary basis as social service & no one is engaged on remuneration.The service rendered by or through trust, has no legal binding nor the advice/service provided, can be taken for legal scrutiny. - Doctors on KMECT panel will study this & the advice will be forwarded to the patient.
- Where ever required & possible, the appointments can be fixed for the patient by KMECT team.
Note: The doctors team for referral/consultation through KMECT will be only when referred by KMECT & not direct approach by patient / his family.
